We have only used the antibodies from Covance, BD Pharmingen and The DSHB and can not comment on the usefulness of the antibodies from other sources.

CD171 (L1 Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule) 5G3, From Ralph Reisfeld at Scripps, to human L1. Good for IHC and IPs, not so good for westerns.
Covance Research Products
L1 NCAM Monoclonal Antibody, MMS-172R This antibody binds to the cytoplasmic domain of L1 in mammals and birds. It is from our lab. It does not bind if the L1 is phosphorylated at Y1176. It works on western blots and for IHC on Bouin's fixed tissue and cells. Good for IPs
